Koko wa neko o tabemsendeshita!
Koko not eating cat!
I can't believe that was 2 and half years ago!
Anyway, I've decided to get back into studying Japanese and do the next JLPT test in December.
I decided to sign up for the Korean equivalent, but the next one isn't until April and I decided to hit the Japanese until December and then focus on Korean over the winter. Plus some of my Japanese books were written for Korean students so browsing lets me review both languages. I spent about an hour today going over the glossary of one such book and reviewing the all the vocab in both languages. That was kind of fun....just hope I don't get the two completely mixed up in my mind!
After spending a total of 8 years in Asia, it really is time I added some language qualifications to my CV, and without a test to study, I really have a hard time getting motivated to study. So bring on the tests!
I took a class over the winter and ran into my old Japanese teacher today and I told her I was going to take the test. She asked what level and I said level 4 - which is the easiest level and the level I could pass with probably just a few days study. That was the plan until she laughed in my face and said I should take level 3, which would require some serious study..... MMmmmm,... Weighing it up in my mind tonight. This semester is shaping up the be my busiest ever even without any Japanese study, but at the same time I'm trying to manage my time better... Mmmmmm. Yes, I think I'll go for it.
Stay tuned for more updates!
