Pastor Naomi, thank you for doing the first part of this. I think this is very essential for anyone having the task of all forms of reporting at hand. May I know whether you have the remaining part of this done and ready for posting here?

Principles of Reporting
“Life of reporting is responsibility.” Written by: Joshua Jung Compiled by: Christian Gospel Mission Education Department Translated by: Naomi Kim
Contents I. Definition of Reporting II. Characteristics of Reporting III. How Should the Reporting Be Done? IV. Types of Reporting V. Why Should We Report? VI. Cautions of Reporting VII. What Should We Report?
I. Definition of Reporting
To report is to investigate and survey facts and such, then systematically organize them so that you can provide the necessary information to receive decisions (direction). Here, each of the roles for both the reporter and the decision-maker is different. The reporter must not overstep their boundaries of authority by making decisions, and the reporter has the responsibility to report to the decision-maker who does hold the authority to make decisions.
Prayer(Reporting): is asking God. Prayer(Reporting): is our responsibility and giving is God’s responsibility.
The Attitude of the Reporter
1. You should never be arrogant nor center on yourself. Satan was arrogant but Jesus was obedient to God to the day of his death. 2. Authority comes from God so whoever receives authority must always return the glory to God.
II. Characteristics of Reporting
1. Purpose: It is to provide the desired information to the counterpart. 2. Objectivity: You must speak the truth as is. 3. Accuracy: Investigation, experimentation, survey results, statistics, language, etc. must be accurate. 4. Reply: You must receive the decisions regarding the reported case. Try to do an errand without fully understanding the instructions. In that case, even after a hundred attempts, it will all be done in vain. That’s why I always say, “Understand what I say. Practice it many times before you leave.” Then if you say, “Is it this?” and when I say, “Yes, that’s it,” then you may leave. If you leave when you didn’t understand the instructions, you will only end up doing something else. And in the midst of doing something, if you feel, “This doesn’t seem right,” then you question yourself and come to me immediately. Would I cut down a pine tree that I nurtured myself? ‘That’s strange. He said that we shouldn’t cut down pine trees but he’s telling us to cut it down now.’ That is very unlikely. That’s when you should come and ask me. You can’t come to me after you have cut down a pine tree I nurtured. That’s what it’s like. Report through people. So if something is questionable, you should come back and ask again. [July 18, 1998 Sat. Always Be Happy]
5. Timeliness: You must discern what must be reported quickly and slowly.
III. How Should the Reporting Be Done?
1. You must report through a channel. Even formal matters must be reported through a channel.
A. I’m conducting operations today so aside from operators, no one should come near me. If you come near me, I cannot think and map things out. During operation, we must set boundaries so that no one comes nearby. And simply because operation is completed, you shouldn’t crowd around me all at once. If you need to report, you should speak to my assistants and receive permits that way. If you don’t it systematically, I will not even accept your greeting. When you visit someone else’s home, it is unlawful to pick up the phone even when it is ringing. You must know when to sit and stand. You shouldn’t crowd me. First, stay at a distance, then report through my assistants. God makes history through channels, and I also work through channels. If you cling to me, even with only a few number of people, I feel suffocated. However, even if there may be 10,000 people, if you remain where you are naturally, I will go to you according to the visions I see. But people crowd around me when I go to someone. If I’m going to a person’s house, why should others come along? Why do you come and impose yourself? It is that household that is hosting me so why should their neighbor come and cause annoyance? You shouldn’t come at a time like that. If I approach someone, I am only meeting that person. I am judging that person so why do you want to receive the judgment, too. What I like most is when the sheep play in the field leisurely. On the other hand, you should gather together, prepare, and pray together before morning service. If it’s not early morning, when else will you have time to pray? It’s because you don’t pray that the standards are low. [September 6, 1996 Fri. Advice on Servitude]
B. If you report to me directly, it will be forgotten. Report to my secretaries. So let them feel a sense of responsibility and receive permissions that way. If it’s not general matters I can forget, it is best to report formal reports through a channel. Individual matters are less restrictive but church matters must absolutely be submitted through a channel. It cannot be just submitted. There are just too many people speaking to me that I have turned a deaf ear. The reason is that it gives me a headache. General matters should be solved through the Word. If you run after me and ask me questions even after you have listened to the message, my head feels numb. It must be resolved through the message. If you have formal reports, make the secretaries understand and tell them. Then there are thing that they can take care of and there are things they will bring to me. Whatever you report to me, I will forget it. Reports from pastors alone are several hundred people. If you include the supporting leaders, it is nearly 1000 people, including Campus Leaders are several thousand people. If every single one of them report to me individually, I don’t remember. Important reports should be written importantly and submitted. At times, even if I may have given a response to a report, I can’t remember them. I barely remember them only when I am deep in prayer or during mountain prayer. So, instead, report accurately to my secretaries, and report convincingly to them. Then, they will check on important issues. You can report to me simply because you are a pastor. You will only pay for it later when I make a decision based on a building I may not know much about. There are cases like that when you make a mistake in what you say, so you must report with care to detail. General matters is not that big an issue but formal matters will be forgotten if reported directly. Of course if you tell them to me, they all get resolved. God does want me to work to the point of exhaustion but if I’m too exhausted, I will not be able to understand what is being told to me. So whatever the case, pray. The bible tells us how we should pray. How can I possibly meet all of you? By receiving all the problematic reports, I won’t be able to accept greetings. That cannot happen. People with problems should all sit in one corner. If I meet people with problems, I won’t have time to converse with people without problems. That is my honest confession. There are problems that will be resolved on their own. You may say, “Teacher, I am standing now but my back hurt terribly,” but in the course of time, your back may not hurt anymore. Like this, there are problems that will be resolved on the way. Some say, “Teacher, I have a headache from worrying about my future plans.” Then I reply, “Your future plans are nothing but Soju?” Sometimes I say, “There are times that you will drink rice wine.” In the course of time, there will be a way. So why ask when you haven’t even tried it? Look at me. My next plan of action comes to mind because I stick to my duties. If you only sit and plan things in your mind, your head will burst. I learned from God that action is easier than thinking about it. Of course I understand that since you’re young, you would want to ask certain things. But in providence, you already received the blessing. God will not leave you to die; instead, he does all kinds of things for you. [November 7, 1998 Sat. Overcome Hardships]
C. (While people crowded to report after the event) You cannot chase after me only when there is time. You must keep order. I’m tired. You cannot perceive me as your average neighbor. You have no manners. Are you that close to me? To be honest, you are not even that close to me. Some people try to meet me on their knees, and some try to meet me standing erect. They are all the same. I’m not telling you to come meet me on their knees. Aren’t there many cases where you should meet me through channels? What’s the point of running after me when my thoughts are already on something else? I woke up at 2am today and was working on a book so my eyes blinking shut. [June 17, 1998 Wednesday Lord, Please Remember Me]
2. Report Beforehand
This is because if you do it without permission, it will be the work of man and not the work of God. God works through man but you can’t testify with certainty. Even if you were inspired, you don’t know what inspiration it is. There is a difference even after reporting with a simple statement, “I will do this.” Don’t do it on your own. I hate it when people report after they’ve already done it. Even if it may have been your best plan, it is different for me. This camel rock, too. I thought that this was perfect but from the perspective of the spiritual world, the edges were broken. Before the perfect appears, the imperfect falls apart. [July 3, 1997 Thursday Morning Message]
3. General Rules of Reporting
Report as is. Report according to the 6 fundamental rules. Problems mustn’t be accumulated. You must report immediately. You must discern what should be reported and what needn’t be reported. You must understand and keep watch over the people in your domain.
A. You must understand and solve problems of the people in your domain. Those are the types of reports I receive. That is why I appoint reporters and receive national reports. Nowadays, the head leaders are the reporters. But ever since I set up head leaders as reporters, they don’t report often. If there are problems, they try to take care of it themselves. If they report to me immediately, it would be resolved but they only cause me worry by trying to handle it themselves. You must not do that. The people who report well are the people who report to me as is. You can’t solve it yourself so you must report it to me as is. If there is a rustling sound when you’re on duty, you must say, “It is rustling.” I know this because I did this before in the past. “Where did the sound come from? What did it sound like? Did it sound like a passing animal?” “If it was an animal, it would’ve rustled repeatedly, but it was not a repeated sound. It just rustled once and I’m not sure if they were surprised by the sound they made but since they are still, I think it’s a person.” “Really? Keep investigating.” That’s how it should be done.
